I truly believe I have the best job in the world. As an orthodontist, I have the opportunity to combine science, technology, and artistry to create healthy, confident smiles that can positively impact a person's life for years to come.
One of the most rewarding aspects of orthodontics is the relationships we build along the way. Our patients become part of our practice family, and it is a privilege to care for children, teens, and adults throughout Merritt Island, Titusville, and Brevard County.
One of my favorite traditions at Barlow & Benfield Orthodontics is ringing the bell when treatment is complete. Everyone in the office gathers to celebrate the patient's new smile, and seeing those happy, confident expressions never gets old. Those moments are a reminder of why I chose orthodontics and why I continue to love what I do every day.
Education & Orthodontic Training
I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2000, graduating first in my class. I remained at the university to complete my orthodontic residency and specialty training in 2002.
After graduation, my wife Emily and I moved to Brevard County, and I have proudly served the orthodontic needs of local families ever since. For more than two decades, I have been committed to helping patients throughout Merritt Island, Titusville, and the Space Coast achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.

Orthodontics is constantly evolving, and I believe patients deserve access to the most advanced techniques and technology available. Each year, I complete extensive continuing education and participate in national conferences, regional meetings, and professional study clubs to stay current on the latest developments in orthodontic treatment.
My goal is always the same: to provide personalized orthodontic care that delivers lasting, functional, and beautiful results.
I am also honored to serve as the orthodontist on Brevard County's cleft palate team. Working alongside other healthcare professionals to help patients with complex needs is one of the most meaningful parts of my career.

Life Outside the Office
I grew up in Manhattan, Kansas, often called the "Little Apple." The values I learned growing up—honesty, integrity, and hard work—continue to guide me both personally and professionally.
My wife Emily is also a dentist, and together we chose Brevard County as the place to build our family and practice because of our love for the water and the incredible community that exists here. It has been one of the best decisions we have ever made.
We have two wonderful children, Jake and Addison. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, fishing, playing tennis, and traveling whenever we have the opportunity.
I feel incredibly fortunate to serve the families of Merritt Island, Titusville, and Brevard County, and I look forward to helping each patient achieve a smile they can be proud of for a lifetime.
