When people ask what I do for a living, I tell them I have the best job in the world! Orthodontics allows me to combine science, technology, and personal relationships in a way that can make a lasting impact on people's lives. Every day, I have the opportunity to help children, teens, and adults gain confidence through healthy, beautiful smiles. One of the most rewarding parts of my profession is seeing patients discover the confidence to become the best versions of themselves.

At Barlow & Benfield Orthodontics, I am proud to serve families throughout Merritt Island, Titusville, and Brevard County by providing personalized orthodontic care and helping patients achieve smiles they can enjoy for a lifetime.

Education & Military Service

I attended the Medical College of Georgia, where I earned my dental degree through a four-year United States Air Force scholarship.

Following graduation, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Nellis Air Force Base and then served as a general dentist in the United States Air Force for five years. During that time, I gained valuable clinical experience while caring for service members and their families.

I was later selected for the highly competitive Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program at Lackland Air Force Base, where I completed my specialty training in orthodontics. Following residency, I served at the United States Air Force Academy, where I taught orthodontics and provided orthodontic treatment for cadets.

My military training and service helped shape my commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and patient-centered care—values I continue to bring to every patient I treat today.

Life Outside the Office

My wife, Jillian, is a Titusville native, making our return to Brevard County feel like a true homecoming. After living in six different states during my military career, we are grateful to put down roots in the community we love.

When we are not in the office, you will often find our family enjoying everything the Space Coast has to offer. My wife and I love spending time with our three children, Violet, Anderson, and Preston, and we especially enjoy family days at the beach, boating, and exploring the outdoors.

We are proud to call Brevard County home and honored to serve the families of Merritt Island, Titusville, and the surrounding Space Coast communities. I look forward to helping every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile that lasts a lifetime.
